Dr. Zekeriya Kul

Dr. Kul’s robust academic journey commenced at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine (1993–1999), where he earned his Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree. He subsequently pursued specialized training in Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery at Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital (2000–2006). His doctoral thesis, “The effect of adipose tissue-derived stromal vascular fraction on the viability of random pattern skin flaps,” reflected an early and prescient engagement with regenerative medicine principles, a foundational interest that underpins his current advanced practices in stem cell-supported procedures.

During his residency, Dr. Kul proactively sought international exposure by undertaking focused studies in breast aesthetic surgery and facial rejuvenation with Dr. Cesar Arrunategui in Brazil, thereby cultivating a global perspective on surgical excellence.

In 2009, Dr. Kul established his private clinic in Istanbul, which has since evolved into a distinguished center for advanced aesthetic and reconstructive surgical services, attracting a discerning international clientele. He is widely acclaimed for conceiving and implementing unique surgical techniques that consistently yield superior and durable patient outcomes.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Kul is profoundly committed to global surgical education. He regularly organizes international training programs and live surgery courses, providing dedicated mentorship to international colleagues and disseminating his specialized techniques and refined surgical philosophy.

A recognized authority in Deep Plane Endoscopic Facelifting, Dr. Kul is both a leading practitioner and a dedicated educator in this intricate subfield. He spearheads the “Deep Plane Face Lift Anatomy Course,” an advanced educational program designed for plastic surgeons that integrates comprehensive anatomical knowledge with practical insights from cadaver dissections and live surgery demonstrations. His research and clinical innovation are prominently featured in his recent publication, “Transtemporal Endoscopic Deep Plane Face Lift,” co-authored in Plast Reconstr Surg Glob Open (January 2025). He has also authored a forthcoming book titled Endoscopic Deep Plane Facelift, which presents a novel vertical lifting method demonstrating significant aesthetic improvements with minimized scarring and manageable complications.

In the field of Breast Aesthetic Surgery, Dr. Kul continues to share his expertise in specialized techniques such as Endoscopic Axillary Breast Augmentation and Protected Breast Augmentation at international scientific meetings.

Academically, he has held the distinguished appointment of Assistant Professor at Uskudar University since December 2, 2016.

Dr. Kul is an active member of several leading national and international professional and scientific associations, including the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, the Turkish Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), and the Confederation of International Plastic Surgery Societies (ICOPLAST).
