IMPORTANT DECISIONS FROM THE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE KOSOVA COLLEGE OF SURGEONS

The commemoration of the 6th anniversary was preceded by the final meeting of the year of the Board of Representatives of the Kosova College of Surgeons.

During this meeting, a number of highly significant decisions were made for the further structural and organizational consolidation of the College, as well as for the initiation of the implementation of some of its main objectives.

Thus, with the approval of all present members, the Board of Representatives of the Kosova College of Surgeons decided on:

1. Designating December 17 as the Founding Day of the Kosova College of Surgeons.
2. Establishing the Center of the Kosova College of Surgeons.
3. Approval of the appointment of the Founding President of the KCS, the President-Elect, the Secretary, and the Treasurer (effective from the Fifth Clinical Congress, September 2025). Thus: Founding President: Prof. Dr. Rifat Latifi; President of KCS: Dr. Osman Zhuri; President-Elect: Dr. Violeta Zatriqi; Secretary: Dr. Luan Jaha; Treasurer: Dr. Eqrem ShalaRe-electing Dr. Sadik Llullaku as Executive Director for another term.
4. Electing Dr. Bedri Braha as Vice-Chair of the Board in the field of General/Abdominal Surgery.
5. Including the representative of the Kosova Journal of Surgery, Prof. Dr. Luan Jaha, in the KCS Executive Committee.
6. Approving the statutes of the College’s Branches in Europe and the USA.
7. Officializing the ATLS Kosova course as a program offered by the Kosova College of Surgeons under the Trauma Committee.
8. Conducting a scientific research course in collaboration with the Kosova Journal of Surgery.
9. Determining the College’s funding and fundraising methods.
10. Planning and organizing conferences, congresses, and other activities.
11. Approving the Declaration on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
