Prof. Dr. Agron Dogjani M.D., Ph.D., FACS, FISS, FICS, FAAST, FKCS

Prof. Dr. Agron Dogjani, M.D., Ph.D., FACS, FISS, FICS, FAAST, FKCS is a Professor of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Medicine, Tirana, Albania, and a General Surgeon at the University Hospital of Trauma in Tirana. He also serves as the National Director of the ATLS® Albania Course.

Prof. Dogjani graduated from the University of Medicine in Tirana in 1989 and completed his residency in General Surgery in 1995. He has pursued advanced surgical and trauma training in Germany, the United States, Austria, Greece, and other countries. His main professional interests include general surgery, trauma surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and surgical education. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications, book chapters, and surgical manuals.

At the national and international level, Prof. Dogjani serves as:

• President of the Albanian Society of Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ASTES)

• Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS)

• Fellow of the International Society of Surgery (FISS)

• Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS)

• Fellow of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (FAAST)

• Fellow of the Kosova College of Surgeons (FKCS)

He is also:

• Member of the Advisory Council of the European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ESTES)

• Member of the Board of Directors of the World Society of Emergency Surgery (WSES)

• National Delegate of Albania to:

  • ISS/SIC (International Society of Surgery)

  • WSES (World Society of Emergency Surgery)

  • ESTES (European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery)

• Member of the International Association for Trauma Surgery and Intensive Care (IATSIC)

In academic and scientific activities, Prof. Dogjani contributes as:
