Prof. Asoc. Dr. Ilir Arapi, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tirana in 2006, with a thesis on “Epidemiology of Acute Leukemias in Pediatric Age,” is a renowned researcher in the field of medicine. This study encompassed a comprehensive retrospective and prospective investigation.
Subsequently, he earned the right for long-term specialization in the field of ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine for a period of 4 years. In July 2013, he successfully completed the 4-year long-term specialization in Ophthalmology.
In April 2013, Dr. Arapi was appointed as an internal lecturer in the Ophthalmology Department at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Medicine in Tirana.
In March 2015, he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neurosciences from the Polytechnic University of Marche (UNIVPM) in Ancona, Italy. Subsequently, he successfully defended his dissertation titled “Long-term Follow-up of Patients with Dome-Shaped Maculopathy.”
In 2022, Dr. Arapi achieved another significant milestone by earning the title of “Associate Professor” at the University of Medicine in Tirana, Faculty of Medicine.
