Prof. Dieter Hahnloser

Prof. Dieter Hahnloser is head of Coloproctology Surgery at the University Hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland. Dieter is the former chair and current member of the education committee of the ESCP (European Society of Coloproctology) and head of the divisions of Coloproctology of the UEMS which runs the EBSQ Coloproctology examinations in Europe. He is the president of the Swiss College of Surgeons.  Dieter is Senior Editor of Colorectal Disease. His clinical and research interest are minimal invasive treatment of IBD and rectal cancer, including robotic surgery, but also surgical education using virtual reality simulators. He is involved in the development of Dexter, the Swiss robotic open platform.
