THE FIRST CLINICAL CONGRESS OF ALBANIAN SURGEONS

With the aim of deepening inter-Albanian cooperation among surgical colleagues, and following the meeting held between the College and the Association of Albanian Doctors of North Macedonia,

we are pleased to share the news that during the meeting held on May 4, between representatives of the Kosova College of Surgeons (KCS) and the Department of Surgery at the University of Medicine, Tirana,
with the approval of all participants, several important decisions were made, as follows:

• This year’s Congress, which will take place on September 25–28, 2025, at Hotel Emerald, Prishtina, will be co-organized by the Kosova College of Surgeons, the Department of Surgery – University of Medicine, Tirana, and the surgeons of the Society of Albanian Doctors of North Macedonia (SADNM).
• The title of the joint congress will be “The First Clinical Congress of Albanian Surgeons”, within which the following will be held: the 5th Clinical Congress of the KCS, the 32nd Albanian Surgical Conference, and the Conference of SADNM Surgeons.
• Rifat Latifi was elected President of the First Clinical Congress of Albanian Surgeons, and the Vice Presidents will be Dr. Osman Zhuri, Dr. Arben Beqiri, and Dr. Ilir Hasani.
• The joint Congress program will be fully integrated. During the meeting, joint working groups were also established, including the Scientific Committee, the Organizing Committee, and other committees, to ensure maximum coordination for the organization of the First Joint Congress.
• The abstract submission deadline will be July 20, 2025.
