Dr. Zana Luci

Dr. Zana Luci was born on December 15, 1978, in Prishtina, Kosovo, and holds German nationality. She currently serves as the Chief Physician in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Asklepios Klinik Lindau in Friedrichshafen, Germany, a position she has held since April 2024. In this role, she leads both the scientific and organizational aspects of the Lindau Symposium on Gynecology and Obstetrics for the years 2024 and 2025. Her clinical focus lies in perinatal medicine, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovations in women’s health.

Dr. Luci’s professional career spans several respected institutions in Germany. From 2022 to 2024, she worked as the Head Senior Consultant at HELIOS Spital Überlingen. In 2021, she served as a Senior Consultant at Klinikum Friedrichshafen, and from 2018 to 2021, she held the same position at Oberschwabenklinik Ravensburg. Between 2016 and 2018, she was a Specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Klinikum OsnabrĂŒck, where she also led the Endometriosis Outpatient Clinic. Her early medical training included residency roles at Klinikum OsnabrĂŒck (2011–2016) under the supervision of PD Dr. Dr. med. Yves Garnier, and at Marienstift Hospital in Braunschweig (2010–2011) under Dr. Branko Milkanovic.

Academically, Dr. Luci earned her Doctor of Medicine (Dr. med. univ.) from the Medical University of Vienna in 2009 and obtained her medical license from the University of Prishtina the same year. She completed her secondary education at Xhevdet Doda Gymnasium in Prishtina in 1997 and attended primary school at Francis W. Parker School in Boston, USA, as well as Ismail Qemali Elementary School in Prishtina.

Dr. Luci has been actively involved in teaching and academic activities throughout her career. Since 2018, she has lectured in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Health Academy Ravensburg. In 2016, she taught Pharmacology at the Midwifery School in OsnabrĂŒck. She also served as an Obstetrics Tutor at the Midwifery School in Braunschweig (2010–2011), and in 2003, she lectured in Gynecology at the Nursing School of Klinikum OsnabrĂŒck. Earlier in her academic journey (2002–2003), she was an Anatomy Demonstrator at the Medical University of Vienna under Professor Melling.

Dr. Luci is a board-certified specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics in Germany. She has undergone advanced training in perinatal medicine and is certified in minimally invasive surgery (MIC I & II). She is authorized for subspecialty certification in perinatal medicine and high-risk obstetrics and is a certified instructor in cervical dysplasia (AGCPC Diploma). Her main clinical interests include endometriosis, high-risk pregnancies, urogynecology, cervical dysplasia, menopause, and hormone therapy.

She is an active member of several professional associations, including the Deutsche Gesellschaft fĂŒr GynĂ€kologie und Geburtshilfe (DGGG), the Arbeitsgemeinschaft GynĂ€kologische Endoskopie (AGE), and AG Endometriose.
