Albion Totsi, MD, MSc, Phd (c)

Albion Totsi, MD, MSc, Phd (c), was born in Elbasan, Albania in 1989. Graduated as a Medical Practitioner from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2013. He had a part of his training in General Surgery in General Hospital of Veroia (2013-2015) and he completed it in Surgical Department of Papageorgiou General Hospital of Thessaloniki in December 2019 where he continued working for 6 other months. In June 2020 he was employed as a rural medical doctor for one year in Primary Care Public Health Center of Mavrothalassa, Serres. In July 2021 he took a position as a Surgery Specialist in General Hospital of Giannitsa for 6 months. Following this period, he worked as a Surgeon in the private Hospital St. Luke for half a year. In July 2022, he returned to Papageorgiou General Hospital as a Specialist Surgeon with limited time contract. In October 2023 he appointed as a Consultant B’ in Surgical Department of Papageorgiou Hospital where he is serving up to the present time.

He is a MSc Degree holder in “Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery” and a PhD Candidate of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has attended the international courses DSTC, ATLS, ALS, Emergo Train System (ETS), International Cambridge Anastomosis Workshop (ICAW) as well as many national workshops. As regards his teaching activities, he is an ALS, ETS and ICAW Instructor, DSTC Candidate Instructor and a Medical School Instructor in Laboratory of Primary Health Care, Medical Department, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has also an ongoing involvement with the education of medical students and Surgery residents. He has given lectures in Greek congresses and seminars as well as in the Postgraduate Program «Emergency Medicine and Trauma».
