Interview with Dr. Dile Rrusta
Dr. Dile Rrusta: The Kosova College of Surgeons, a new window of scientific knowledge in the field of surgery
The Chairperson of the Committee of Residents within the Kosova College of Surgeons, Dr. Dile Rrusta, and resident in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, states that she is very optimistic that this intensity of work of the Kosova College of Surgeons will continue even further, because there is the will, readiness and enthusiasm of everyone to be more close to international standards in surgery.
In an interview for the Kosova College of Surgeons, Dr. Rrusta says that the Course on Basic Education of Surgical Residents – Phase One, has helped her a lot, and highlighted that it has met her expectations. Distinguished by the active participation in this course, she believes and hopes that it would be good to continue with such initiatives, for the following generations that come after us.
– The Kosova College of Surgeons is an organization that gathers around itself surgeons of various fields, not only from Kosova but also from all over the world. How do you evaluate the work and commitment of the KCS so far?
Dr. Dile Rrusta: The work and activity of the Kosova College of Surgeons has been very successful so far, so it should continue with the same dynamics, although I have no objections to this. This organization with the various commitments that it organizes very often for us residents is a new window of raising scientific knowledge in the field of surgery. I am very optimistic that this intensity of the KCS work will continue even further, because there is everyone’s will, readiness and enthusiasm to be closer to international standards in surgery.
– You are the chairperson of the Committee of Residents within the Kosova College of Surgeons and a resident in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. How satisfied are you with the activities of this Committee, and what are the objectives you expect as a result of joint work?
Dr. Dile Rrusta: I am very satisfied with the activities of the Committee of Residents because we have all engaged as much as possible. I believe that the same activity and commitment should continue, however, it would be very positive to increase the dynamics of the work, so that in the future, according to the possibilities, other different trainings for residents can be organized.
– The Kosova College of Surgeons is based on the continuous education of specialists of various surgical disciplines, as well as surgical residents and students, through courses, workshops and committees. As the chairperson of the Committee of Residents, how willing are you to contribute to the other activities mentioned above?
Dr. Dile Rrusta: I say with great responsibility that I am fully ready to further contribute with all my professional capacity, to support and engage in the aforementioned issues. It is in our professional interest to participate in committees within the Kosova College of Surgeons.
– The Kosova College of Surgeons has completed the Course on Basic Education of Surgical Residents â Phase One. You have distinguished yourself in this course for active participation. What does this course mean to you, and have you met your expectations?
Dr. Dile Rrusta: Since I am a residentst in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, the Course on Basic Education of Surgical Residents â Phase One, has helped me a lot. I have tried to be present in all the modules, as they have been very fruitful for my work as a resident, and in my professional advancement. I have reached my expectations, and I believe that it would have been good to continue with the next generations that come after us.
– Will you continue with your participation in the Second Phase of the Basic Education Course?
Dr. Dile Rrusta: I will definitely be a participant in the second phase of the Course, and I also plan to pay the membership as part of the Kosova College of Surgeons. This organization so far, but I very much hope that in the future, will continue its activity for the benefit of surgeons of all fields, and in the advancement of students, residents and specialists. I hope that the work and determination of the KCS will continue even further, as it concerns the basic education of surgical residents.
