Dr. Lulzim Vokrri: With genuine teamwork, results are never lacking
Dr. Lulzim Vokrri, estimates that the Kosova College of Surgeons (KCS) has made a revolution in affirming and uniting the most famous Albanian surgeons not only in Kosova, but also outside its borders.
He emphasizes that closer cooperation with the local framework is more than necessary, since as he said “if we manage to do real teamwork, the results will not only never be missing, but they would be even better, and work would be more productive”.
Regarding the cooperation of Albanian surgeons from the diaspora and their engagement in the country of origin. Dr. Lulzim Vokrri thinks that this cooperation is sufficient, despite the obligations they have in the countries where they live and work.
The Kosova College of Surgeons is an institution that gathers around itself surgeons of various fields, not only from Kosova but also from all over the world. How do you evaluate the work and commitment of the KCS so far?
– Dr. Lulzim Vokrri: I say with full responsibility that the Kosova College of Surgeons has made a revolution in affirming and uniting around itself the most well-known Albanian surgeons not only in Kosova, but also outside its borders. This should be greatly appreciated, because only such commitment has brought tangible results. Therefore, I say that I evaluate the work of the Kosova College of Surgeons with exceptional results and I wish it to continue even more successfully in the future.
You are the Vice-President of the Committee for Scientific Research, within the Kosova College of Surgeons. How satisfied are you with the activities of this Committee, and what are the objectives you expect as a result of joint work?
– Dr. Lulzim Vokrri: I am very satisfied with the work of the Committee for Scientific Research, which functions within the Kosova College of Surgeons. Of course, more can be done, if we manage to work as a team, of course always valuing, appreciating and respecting each other, more.
The objectives I expect are:
– Coordination of the joint work of this Committee with the University Clinical Center, the Faculty of Medicine and the laboratory for experimental work, which already exists within the Faculty of Medicine in Pristina. In today’s world it is very difficult to carry out genuine scientific research without close cooperation with the laboratory of the academic unit.
– Achieving work results.
– Presentation and publication of these results.
The Kosova College of Surgeons is based on the continuous education of specialists of various surgical disciplines, as well as surgical residents and students, through courses, workshops and committees. You are part of the aforementioned Committee, how willing are you to contribute to the other aforementioned activities?
– Dr. Lulzim Vokrri: I have been a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and the University of Pristina for 25 years. I have always tried to give my best for the professional and academic education of all new generations. Of course, even today I am ready to give my contribution, where it is necessary.
The Kosova College of Surgeons is preparing for the Third Clinical Congress, which this year will be held on October 12-15. How do you evaluate the development of the First and Second Clinical Congress of the KCS?
– Dr. Lulzim Vokrri: I rate the development of the First and Second Congress of the KCS with a good grade. Of course, there is always room for improvement. I think that even more attention should be paid to local presentations.
How do you evaluate the cooperation of Albanian surgeons from the diaspora, and do you think that their commitment in the country of origin is sufficient?
– Dr. Lulzim Vokrri: I think that the cooperation of Albanian surgeons from the diaspora and their engagement in the country of origin is sufficient, despite the obligations they have in the countries where they work.
Moreover, I think that we should work even harder and have an even closer cooperation with the local framework, because if we manage to do real teamwork, the results will not only never be missing, but will were even better, and work would be more productive.
