Dr. Brunilda Profka Haxhiu, PhDc., was born in Tirana in 1982. She attended primary and secondary school in her hometown, where she also graduated from the Faculty of Medicine as a general practitioner in 2007.
From 2007 to 2010, she made a significant contribution to the field of marketing in a multinational pharmaceutical company. During this time, she also completed her Master’s studies in International Business and Marketing in Tirana.
Dr. Haxhiu continued her professional development by pursuing postgraduate studies in Oncology, earning the title of Oncologist in 2014. In November 2015, she began working as an oncologist at the Department of Oncology at the American Hospital in Kosova.
Since 2016, she has been employed at the Oncology Clinic in the Clinical Center of Kosovo, where she continues to practice her profession. Over the years, from 2009 onwards, she has completed a series of specialization courses and training programs in the field of oncological radiotherapy in various countries.
Dr. Haxhiu is a member of the European School of Oncology, European Medical Oncology and Radiotherapy Associations. Additionally, she holds the position of delegate of the Oncology Clinic and is a member of the Supervisory Council at the Medical Chamber since 2021.
In 2022, she was appointed as an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Pristina. Most recently, she has taken on the role of Deputy Director of the Oncology Clinic.
Dr. Brunilda Profka Haxhiu is a candidate for a Doctor of Science degree in the third year of her studies at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje. Her contribution to the scientific field has been recognized through her participation in numerous educational, awareness-raising, and professional lectures at symposiums and scientific conferences.
