Dr. F. Nilüfer Yalçındağ, MD, FEBO, graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Turkey and completed ophthalmology residency training at the same University in 2001. From 2005-2006, she served as a Clinical Attachment and Research Fellow on ocular inflammation under the supervision of Professor John V. Forrester at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Aberdeen, UK.
She is currently a Professor of Ophthalmology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology. She has held the position of Director of Uveitis Section at the same department since 2008. She is also a member of Ankara University Faculty of Medicine Multidisciplinary Behçet Unit Scientific Committee.
She is a member of the International Ocular Inflammation Society, International Uveitis Study Group, Society for Ophthalmo-Immunoinfectiology in Europe and Turkish Ophthalmological Association. She is currently President of the Uveitis and Behçet Disease Section of the Turkish Ophthalmological Association. She is the author or co-author of more than 100 scientific articles.
