Ass. Prof. Dr. Shefqet Meha was born in Peja on 06.05.1936. He completed his primary and high school education in Peja. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1963 in Skopje.
First, he worked for a year in Peja and then in Istog for about 3 years (1974-1976). Among other things, he also completed the Specialization in General Surgery and Neurosurgery in Skopje. Thus, he became the first neurosurgery specialist in Kosova. After specialization, he worked at the Surgery Clinic in Pristina and founded the Department of Neurosurgery. During this time, he was also a Surgical Assistant at the Faculty of Medicine in Pristina.
Knowing the circumstances in which we were in the 90s, he leaves his job against his will due to the Serbian regime. After the war, he again returned to the Clinic of Surgery and continued his work until his retirement, specifically until 2001.
Dr. Shefqet Meha passed away on December 3, 2007, in Pristina.
