Mission:

This Committee will be organized with experts from various fields and will address all aspects of breast cancer management, formulating criteria and standards for all phases of treatment from education, screening, operative and oncological treatment, follow-up, collection and data analysis, rehabilitation, palliative care and even psychosocial care;
It will define the standards of the Breast Center and the standards of professional expertise of the staff;
It will organize symposia, seminars and professional workshops, as well as advocate for the achievement of appropriate standards and the support of the group of patients and their families with this disease;
It will also examine other aspects of breast diseases.

Activities:

The main activity of this Committee throughout the year 2023 was the organization of the Breast Surgery Session at the Third Clinical Congress, through the appointment of International Speakers, as well as the abstracts submission by local lecturers.

Plans for 2024:

Completion of the General Standards for the Breast Center;

Development of the Breast Surgery Session for the Fourth Clinical Congress of KCS;

Coordination of symposia focused on breast cancer awareness;

Execution of the pilot project by the Multidisciplinary Team of Breast Surgery in practical settings.
