Increasing diversity in the health system leads to quality care that is recognized by patients and makes individuals feel valued, leading to reduced fatigue / burnout and allows the development of workforce talent. Therefore the goals of this Committee are:

-To maintain diversity and inclusion represented in all areas of the Kosova College of Surgeons;

-To commit our members to ensure that their needs are being addressed within the workforce, education and clinical care;

-To highlight best practices in surgery addressing workforce diversity, inclusion, and inequalities in health care.

Activity 2024:

DEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It refers to principles and practices aimed at creating environments where all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or characteristics, are respected, valued, and provided with equal opportunities. DEI initiatives strive to foster diversity in all its forms, ensure equity in access to resources and opportunities, and promote an inclusive culture where everyone feels welcomed and able to participate and contribute fully.
