Mission:
This Committee was founded on the premise that members of individual surgical specialties can best advance their expertise by sharing their experiences, knowledge, and techniques with each other and with members of other surgical specialties. The committee strives to improve patient care and promote the highest standards of practice through education, training, and information dissemination. The Committee on Endoscopic, Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery provides a forum for the presentation, discussion and dissemination of new and proven ideas, techniques and therapies in laparoscopic, endoscopic, robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques and technologies. The primary purpose of this Committee is to ensure that its members have access to the newest ideas and approaches.
Considering the continuous development trend of minimally invasive surgery, this committee will be committed to advance this field of surgery as much as possible.
Different forms of training and education will be organized for both specialists and residents, applying advanced forms of simulation education and virtual reality;
â Will draft criteria and standards of professional expertise and structured, mentored and supervised education, based on American and European good practices;
-Special emphasis will be placed on patient safety.
