Dr. Qamile Morina was born in 1956 in the city of Mitrovica. After completing high school in Montana, United States, and graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Prishtina in 1980, Dr. Morina continued her studies to specialize in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine in Ljubljana, where she completed her specialization in 1987. Later, she earned her PhD degree at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tirana.
Dr. Morina has served with passion and dedication in the field of Anesthesiology for many years. She is known for her extraordinary contribution to this field and led the Kosovo Anesthesiology Association from 2006 to 2010. She was also a founding member of the European Program for Continuing Education in Anesthesiology, known as CEEA (Committee for European Education in Anaesthesiology), with European accreditation.
Dr. Morina was honored with membership in the highest European professional body, the European Board of Anaesthesiology (EBA), from 2010 to 2012. She is also an active member of several international anesthesiology associations and has contributed to the organization of three scientific symposia of the Kosovo Patient Safety Society.
Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Morina has participated in and presented papers at numerous international professional and scientific meetings, symposia, and congresses. She is the author and co-author of 58 scientific professional papers.
In 1987, she began her career as an assistant at the Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Prishtina. In 2014, she was elected Assistant Professor at Alma Mater Europaea Campus College “Rezonanca,” then in 2018, she became an Associate Professor, and in 2021, she was appointed Professor Emeritus.
