Ramadan Jashari, MD, FETCS

Ramadan Jashari, MD, FETCS, Cardiac Surgeon, current Director of the European Homograft Bank (EHB), Cardio-Vascular Tissue Bank in Brussels, Belgium. Currently, he is a faculty member of the International Course “Tissue Banking and Advanced Therapies” of TPM, University of Barcelona. Honorary member of the EATCB (European Association of Cell and Tissue Banking). Member of the Superior Medical Council of the Belgian Ministry of Health (Cell, Tissue and Organ Transplantation). Member of the EATCB, EACTS, SHVD and BACTS. Participated at more than 130 international and national scientific meetings, presented more than 120 abstracts and 20 posters. Published over 60 articles in various International Journals, mainly in the domain of Tissue Donation and Transplantation, and Cardiac Surgery. He has served at the CAT (European Committee for Advanced Therapies) and CD-P-TO (European Committee for Organ and Tissue Transplantation of the European Council). Participated at various International scientific projects: Euro-GTP and Euro-GTP II (“Good Tissue Practices”), Do-He-Ca (“Donor Health Care”), ESPOIR and ARISE (clinical application of regenerative heart valves), the EU funded Projects. He is Past President of the EATCB and past member of the Council of the WUTBA (World Union of Tissue Banking Association).
