Prof. Dr. Lutfi Zylbeari is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tetova, for the subjects: Clinical Examination, Internal Medicine, Pathophysiology and Medical Ethics with Deontology. He completed his studies in the field of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in 1982 at the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, Republic of Northern Macedonia. He completed his education in Nephrology, Hemodialysis and Artificial Organ Transplantation at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje, at the Department of Internal Medicine – Nephrology Clinic. He completed the specialization in Internal Medicine during the years 1995-1998 and before the legal deadline by decision of the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Internal Diseases, successfully defended the specialist exam in the field of Internal Medicine at the Internal Medicine Clinic at the State University âSv. Cyril and Methodius â in Skopje. After specialization, he successfully completed the Education in the Field of Ultrasonography at the Clinic of Nephrology and the Institute of Radiodiagnostics and Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje. From October 2004 until the end of 2006 he was appointed General Director at the Medical Center of Tetova.
In 2004 in the Department of Internal Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine – University “Sv. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, successfully defended his Master’s thesis entitled “Lipid profile in patients with chronic terminal renal insufficiency treated with recurrent hemodialysis”.
He successfully defended his doctorate thesis titled “Profile of Dyslipidemia and Aberrations of Apoproteins in Patients Treated with Recurrent Hemodialysis”, with mentor Prof. Dr. Koço Ăakalaroski on 08.06.2009 in the Department of Internal Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, Sv. Cyril and Methodius â, Skopje.
In 2006, the special commission for scientific advancement at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Macedonia appointed him to the title of Primarius of Medical Sciences.
In 2007 he successfully completed the Education on Diabetes at the Clinic of Endocrinology at the Faculty of Medicine, University “Sv. Cyril and Methodiusâ, Skopje.
He is an active member in many sections, scientific intersections in the country and abroad, seminars and congresses in the field of Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Dialysis, Transplantation and Artificial Organs and the Albanian Medical Association in the Republic of Northern Macedonia. Prof. Dr. Lutfi Zylbeari is an active member of: The Association of Nephrologists at SHMDTOA (Macedonian Association for Nephrology, Dialysis, Transplantation and Artificial Organs) as well as the Balkan, European and World Associations (BANTAO, EDTA-ERAHR, Inter Organ, ESAO, ISAO, INFA, Academy of Sciences and Arts in the Republic of Northern Macedonia). Also Dr. Zylbeari is a Member of the Scientific Board of the Association of Nephrologists, Hemodialysis, Transplantation and Artificial Organs of the Republic of Northern Macedonia. In May 2009 he successfully completed his education in the field of Health Management and Health Leadership. Prof. Dr. Lutfi Zylbeari is the author and co-author of over 450 original scientific papers published in journals at home and abroad with international reviews and author of 16 university-medical books.
Currently, in addition to teaching, he is the editor of the Medical Journal of the Faculty of Medical Sciences “Acta Medica Balkanica” (International Journal of Medica Siences) published by the University of Tetova, and a member of the editorial board of the journal “MEDICUS”, published by the Association of Albanian Doctors at RMV and the magazine “Albanian Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery-AJTES”, published by the University of Medicine,Tirana.
Prof. Dr. Lutfi Zylbeari is the organizer and coordinator of four medical conferences with international participation organized by the Faculty of Medicine of Tetova at the University of Tetova.
